Don’t worry, though Typhoon Mirinae hit Vietnam on 2 Nov, it only brought strong winds and heavy rain to central Vietnam. Hanoi is located in northern Vietnam, hence it’s not affected by this typhoon. As most of you are Geo studies, please update your parents about the situation in Vietnam so they won’t not have unnecessary worries.
In 2007, when SKSS Humanities (32 students with 5 teachers) were in Ho Chi Minh City, we were fortunate to have the opportunity to visit the Vietnam Red Cross Association. We were briefed on how typhoons affected its people and how the government evacuated the villagers before the arrival of typhoon It was an unforgettable experience. We are indeed very blessed to live in Singapore. As for this trip, I hope that you all will bring back many unforgettable learning experiences & memories like I did in my previous Vietnam trip.
